The current state-of-the-art attosecond laser technology and charged-particle detection methods may in principle enable us to track and control the ultrafast motion of the electrons and nuclei in atoms, molecules, and more complex materials. However, to realize these goals, we need to know how we can extract essence of the quantum many-body dynamics from the experimental data, and how we should design laser waveforms to control the dynamics utilizing the full potential of the laser technology. We are thus facing the challenge in theoretical research of developing consistent and unifying formalisms as well as accurate and efficient numerical simulation algorithms to describe the electronic and nuclear dynamics.
At this workshop, we would like to bring together active theorists and experimentalists to have intensive discussions on the following topics:
Conference Rooms C and D on the 2nd floor of POSCO International Center (PIC) on the campus of Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) in Pohang, South Korea.
Invited speakers are requested to register for the workshop and to submit presentation abstracts from the online registration form.
If you have any problem while registration, please contact Norio Takemoto [norio(at)postech.ac.kr].
Registration, Sessions I-III, and poster session will be in Conference Rooms C and D on the 2nd floor of PIC.
Lunches on June 24 and 25 will be served for all participants at Faculty and Staff Cafeteria, Wisdom, on the 2nd floor of Jigok Community Center. Please receive meal tickets at the time of registration.
